1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: EV8 SWITCH

This is like an EV suitability test for those considering going electric. Launched by the UK government, EV8 Switch shows you if transitioning to an EV is the right option by outlining how to reduce your carbon footprint, how much money you could save and by making bespoke EV recommendations.

For the app to work, you have to compare EVs against your existing vehicle, so it monitors and logs the journeys you take in your current vehicle for 14 days to unlock personalised insights, advice and recommendations. One of the best features is its ‘Switchability Score’ that you receive after the 14 day challenge as this indicates how suitable an EV would be for your needs.

2. EV NEWS: BBC NEWS

Apple unplugs self-driving electric car project, reports say. Apple has reportedly cancelled its plans to build electric vehicles (EV) a decade after the iPhone maker was rumoured to be working on the project.

The firm has never publicly acknowledged the project, which involves around two thousand people. Many employees from the project will be moved to the iPhone maker's artificial intelligence (AI) division, according to Bloomberg News.

3. EV TIP: HEATED SEATS

During the Winter/colder months instead of using your fans and heater to keep you warm, pop on the heated seats, these will keep you nice and toasty warm.

4. EV MAGAZINE: EV POWERED/TURNING ELECTRIC

Every month Turning Electric magazine is distributed free to high footfall locations across the UK. 6. EV CUSTOMER REVIEW: US! EV CABLES

What a delight to meet EV Cables. Another GREAT Marlow based company. You were hugely helpful throughout, from initial enquiry, to ordering correct cable configuration, to then taking time to discuss how and why the problem with my manufacturer-supplied cable had most likely occurred, and finally the illustrated advice to use a ‘contact cleaner’ spray as a matter of good maintenance practice.
